 Here are five Bollywood celebrities who committed suicide:

1-Varsha Bhosle:
Daughter of India’s famous singer Asha Bhosle, Vasha Bhosle shot herself to death in 2012. Apparently, she had a rough married life which became the cause for her to shoot herself in her residence, to death. Varsha was a professional Hindi and Bhojpuri playback singer as well as a writer.

2. Silk Smitha

Silk Smitha was found dead in her apartment on September 23, 1996 in her Chennai apartment, where she had hanged herself from the ceiling fan. Alcoholism, a failed love life and financial crisis are said to have led to Smitha taking her own life. Vidya Balan’s “The Dirty Picture” was based on Silk Smitha’s life.

3. Parveen Babi

Bollywood actress Parveen Babi was one of the most glamorous divas of Bollywood during her stint in the Indian film industry. However,the Indian actress was often an object of disdain for her affairs with married men. Though some suggested Parveen had committed suicide since she was found dead locked inside her apartment, some state that the actress had died due to diabetes.

4. Jiah Khan 

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan’s suicide was a recent one and really sad. The actress was well known, since she had acted alongside A list actors Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan. She had also starred in high grossing films such as Houseful and Ghajini.  Jiah Khan was found dead, hanging from her ceiling fan on June 3, 2013 at her Juhu residence.

5- Nafesa Joseph:

Nafisa Joseph was a model-turned-video jockey. She had won the Miss India Universe 1997 pageant and was a semi-finalist in the Miss Universe 1997 pageant in Miami. She has hangs herself on 29 July 2004.
